Sources
- Population: INEGI, Censo de Población y Vivienda 2020 (state, municipality and locality tables). Metropolitan figures follow the 2020 CONAPO–INEGI–SEDATU delimitation.

- Elevation, rivers, coastline: INEGI Continuo de Elevaciones and CONAGUA; peak heights from INEGI/GEA.
- Border data: International Boundary and Water Commission (IBWC/CILA); crossing statistics from the US Bureau of Transportation Statistics.
- Roads and airports: SICT (Secretaría de Infraestructura, Comunicaciones y Transportes) and AFAC passenger statistics.
- Base map: Esri World Street Map (Esri, HERE, Garmin, FAO, NOAA, USGS and OpenStreetMap contributors); terrain by OpenTopoMap.
Method
Every page is a static HTML file with one shared stylesheet and one map script, so pages load in under a second on a phone. Maps are built with Leaflet and render only when scrolled into view. Figures are checked against the primary source above; where sources disagree (coastline lengths vary by measuring method, for example) the INEGI value is used and the alternative is noted.
Corrections
